Playing Food – Wie isst die Welt von morgen?
In our interdisciplinary co-creation format, children became active creators: they explored regional agriculture, sculpted their favorite dishes from polymer clay, and animated assets for the digital world.
My focus within the team was on the overarching concept as well as the technical development (Programming & Alt.Ctrl). To transfer the children's analog work into the Unity engine, I developed a physical-digital interface: the sculpted clay dishes, equipped with NFC chips, serve as starting keys that activate the respective quest in the 2.5D world when placed on a plate. For location-independent access, I also developed the required online version of the game.
The installation was created for the Klima Biennale Wien and the KLIMASTRÖME Festival in cooperation with the Children's Office of the University of Vienna, DOCK, and DAS WEISSE HAUS. The project was funded by the Austrian Ministry of Culture and the Hamburg Elbkulturfonds.
