Klimaströme – Fabulous Food Futures

The Klimaströme Festival is an annual art and research event that offers children and young people creative spaces to envision the future amidst the climate crisis. With an incredibly diverse and decentralized program—ranging from interactive workshops and floating "future labs" to performances, games, and concerts—the festival is constantly in motion.

For the online presence at klimaströme.de, I faced the challenge of capturing this dynamic nature in a web-friendly way. Since details such as event dates, locations, and ticket availability often change on short notice—given the festival's lively operations and more than 60 partners—the system needed to be exceptionally flexible. I therefore developed the website using Kirby CMS. Kirby allowed me to create a streamlined, bespoke backend tailored precisely to the festival's information architecture. This enables the organizers to manage and update the diverse program entirely on their own—intuitively and without technical hurdles. The result is a high-performance platform that grows just as organically as the festival itself.
